Musician’s Institute (G.I.T.) Grad since 1992, and a Bachelor of Music from SUNY Oneonta in 1995, Tom Atkins has performed live music in front of tens of thousands of people all over America and Europe, taught in excess of 300 students (some who have moved on to the Berklee School of Music or pursued 4 year degrees in music and music education.) With a soon to be available downloadable instruction book, “Total Guitaristry“, Tom is now available for private lessons in Guitar and Bass performance, Music theory, Ear Training and audio recording. All ages and all levels are welcome and all styles (beginning classical, jazz, rock, punk, metal and classic rock) are taught. Special focus on teaching self discipline techniques to maximize your potential on your instrument, regardless of style or goals.

New live audio services!

We are proud to announce that we are unpacking our brand new Presonus Studiolive 16×4x2 digital recording console from our first recording gig. As soon as permissions are available, we will post samples in the live audio section.

A few weeks back (April 9, 2010) THICK was invited to perform with two other local bands (Mike and the Monsters and Super 86) at the Joseph Grounds Memorial Benefit at Michael’s Lounge in Latham, NY. It was a great show, with top of the line audio equipment, lights and a great and appreciative crowd.

Presonus Studiolive Digital Mixer

It was also the first time we were able to test out our new Presonus Studiolive Digital mixer. It sounded great, and captured all the great performances from that great show. Tied together to a Macbookpro, its one of the easiest and most portable recording solutions available in the market today.
